Show season is over for 2017. Make an appointment to come visit us in the studio for current inventory. Like us on Facebook Crooked Tree Cottage Creations. You can also message me from there for any inquiries. It has been our best show season so far. Thank you for buying my art and supporting my dreams. I cannot wait to get busy in the studio creating new masterpieces.
Colorfest 2017 Was our best show ever. We met some new customers and had many repeat customers. We once again were told that we were best in show and many said our masterpieces are the most unique. Houdini Hideaway Books were a huge hit, I still have many cool and wonderful designs for upcoming shows. We sold 44 books and 10 Houdini Hideaway Boxes.
One of the best compliments from First Sunday Arts Festival in Annapolis is that I was the Cirque du Soleil of bookmakers. We had one return customer that did her holiday shopping with us and I am excited to hear how these gifts are received. We sold 31 books and 3 boxes.
We had a wonderful time First Sundays Arts Festival on West Street in Annapolis Maryland on Sunday, November 6, 2016 . It exciting to share my artwork with a whole new audience. We made it through a rainy windy Colorfest and still creating a buzz among the vendors and shoppers. We had a wonderful time at Art Asylum at our favorite art store, the Queens's Ink in Savage Mills on Saturday selling 17 books.
I would like to thank everyone who came to visit us at Colorfest 2015, it was our most successful show thus far. The weather was glorious and the compliments were flowing. The phrases that we hear over and over again are, "AMAZING" "UNIQUE" INTRIGUING". The vendors are even sending their customers to come check out the book booth. Our new spot worked well for us and we are hoping to be back at Booth #135 next year!! Our two broke girls came back but as they said they "were less broke this year'" and were delighted to purchase their own book with their own money. Our "Thurmont" people continue to be huge supporters and had 7 of our masterpieces before they came to this show. We were able to introduce "treasure books" to so many new customers this year as the crowds were swelling!!
I would like to thank all who came to visit us at Colorfest 2014. It is hard to compete with the food mongers and many chose stomach over soul but we still have a strong following: our two broke girls were able to see the line they inspired with the butter books, a lower cost amazing creation. Many people continue to tell me they have never seen any thing like what I am selling and other complementing us on our exquisite streamline display. One woman hugged me and thanked me for being one of so few artists that were displaying in an juried artesian show, several came specifically to purchase my art and were excited to discover my new creations. I am honored and touched to be considered an artist worth following. I have several masterpieces still available and hope to be back in the studio making new art for my final show of the season at Liberty High School Craft Fair on Saturday, November 22, 2014 in Eldersburg, Maryland from 9AM to 3PM. Come see what you may have missed at Colorfest!!
Thanks again for everyone who came to see me at Liberty High School Craft Fair. It was a very successful show and exciting to see old friends and make some new ones. It never gets old hearing how people have never seen any thing like my art in other shows. I even had an opportunity to personally sign one of my pieces as requested by the customer. Our handmade unique designed book holders are also quickly becoming a big hit!! It was nice hearing from several formal customers talk about how they are using their treasure books!!
*We survived Colorfest 2013, it was a rainy dreary weekend but I never get tired of hearing the positive feedback. I am both encourage and inspired. Thank you all who came out on such a weary weather weekend to support my art. It was great seeing many return customers and making some fantastic new contacts. The overriding comments continue to be that my work is so unique and people have never seen it. This delights my artist heart. Some highlights were, the two broke girls that stopped by on Sunday in the middle of a deluge of rain to brighten our spirits. I am already planning the Route 66 inspired book for them. One woman said that the books "speak" and that is exactly what I hope my treasure books will do. I always believe the right book finds the right owner. Another man said that my books made him feel like a child again. As an artist to be able to create the emotion of discovery in someone is so heartwarming!!!
*I would like to thank everyone who stopped by today to see my books at Liberty High School Craft Faire. It was a very slow show but my booth was a buzzing. It is nice to have return customers that look for your booth and seek you out. It is also wonderful to have new customers that find your booth for the first time. Some favorite feedback from that show... "You made my day!!!" "I was hoping you'd be here again this year" "Your books are bada**!!!" "You sew them all by hand!!" " You have really expanded over the past year"
* I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came to see me at Colorfest 2012 and found me in the crowd. I was thrilled to get the chance to talk to so many of you and share my love of my art. I appreciated all the positive feedback, and as an artist it was gratifying to hear things like... "Finest Booth at the Show!!!" "A Breath of Fresh Air in the Middle of a Crazy Crowd!!!" "Oh My God, I Can't Just Choose One!!!" " So Unique, I Have Never Seen Anything Like This" " You Are Creating A Buzz"
